What's New in QuerySurge 4.5
Data Comparison Thresholds & Parameterizing your Query Pairs are new to 4.5
Data Comparison Thresholds & Parameterizing your Query Pairs are new to 4.5
QuerySurge 4.5 now provides users with these new features!
- Set Thresholds with either percentage or absolute value based threshold evaluations
- Automatically update reusable Query Snippets as containers for parameters with the Command Line API
1) Column Comparison Thresholding
QuerySurge lets you set (as of version 4.5) a threshold for any numeric data-type columns. When the Query Pair Pairs (pairs of SQL tests – one at source data, the other at target) results are evaluated, the Threshold values will be applied to the comparison for each of the specified columns.
Example:
The result set (column) is within 5% of stock price of $5.15
The result set (column) is within $0.50 of stock price of $5.15
2) Parameterizing your Query Pairs using Reusable Query Snippets
One of the needs that QuerySurge users often have is to build multiple Query Pairs (pairs of SQL tests – one at source data, the other at target) that differ only in the parameters that the queries use. Now you can use Query Snippets (reusable, SQL functions) as containers for parameters with the QuerySurge Command Line execution API to automatically update a Reusable Query Snippet (available starting in QuerySurge 4.5.x).
Prior to QuerySurge 4.5, users could employ a Parameterized Driver Table in either the Source or Target database (see Parameterizing your QueryPairs using a Table based Approach). With the extension of the execution API in the version 4.5 release, parameterized runs can be driven through an API script.
